Just paid my electric and gas bill. 2300.00 plus over 150.oo just in meter rental fee's. Seems to me that meters should be the cost of their doing business. Would be like me renting a room and then charging extra for bedding. Last month water bill was over 1200.00 which also included meter rentals, street lighting, storm water surcharge, sewer backup fee, sewer, trash. I did call them and ask just how many flash-floods or rain storms do we get in the winter was informed that they average it out over the year.

- I've seen some whopper bills in my days at work, but wow! The various "fees" that you can find in breaking down a bill can be an eye opener to what a racket the whole thing is. When certain rates are limited by the regulatory boards they have to find a way to generate revenue by creating all sorts of extra charges and fees - most people never really think about/notice them.

The chickens can keep you warm, lol! The swap pages have exploded, haven't they? I think I'm going to venture out on a farm store tour this weekend to see if I can come up with enough to fill my current wish list - not looking for a lot numbers wise, but have a short list of breeds and not sure I'll have much luck locating them without multiple stops, would prefer to get it all going and just run one set through the brooder and be done, but we all know what happens to those plans, lol.

I have been feeling up my roosters. hahaaa where is their drumstick? they dont have one. GROSS ALERT , there is something on my hand rail on the back porch this am. and i cant even look at it much less get rid of it. any suggestions? Dont want to knock it down because the dogs may get it. Husband wont touch it either.

oh, that sounds like fun !! hmmm, what do i want??? I know ! a pol blue egg layer.

There's a feed store nearby, the guy pays $1.25 for any chicks, and $2 for full breed. He had silver AND gold sebrights for $3 the last time I was there. So if I can't thin down on my own, he's always an option. I haven't been to a swap yet, but the bst sites seem to be moving pretty quickly. I'm paying $4 each for the polish, and her price list was published months ago.
