Hahaaa YUP !

So, you don't have a disconnect notice in hand at the moment because you had been keeping up with the bill, right? That doesn't disqualify you, but in disconnect/not in disconnect does effect the different funds they will be able to use (there are "crisis" funds that can be accessed for bills in disconnect if the regular benefit doesn't cover the past due amount). I can probably give you a rough amount if I have these pieces of information: Do you own your home? Is the heat total electric? Is the heat currently in a working condition? Is anyone in your household over the age of 60, under the age of 5 or legally disabled?

we are all legally disabled, Tom is way over 60, haha buying my home, total electric, heat works fine, not in disconnect

Good to go - the benefits are calculated on a matrix with point values assigned for five categories and each point being worth a set amount. Best guess is going to be around $270 for your benefit (+/- $10 because I can't remember what region SIEOC is in and there is a differential based on region - even though you are right across the county line I am fairly certain SIEOC is classed in a different region) - IF they have "State EAP" funds still available you would also receive an additional $60 due to owning/buying your home (haven't been in EAP for over a month now so out of the loop as far as what agencies still have those funds at this point) -- so, final answer is somewhere between $260-330 ish

Isn't BYC a wonderful thing? I get to meet all these fantastic people and hear their stories, laugh and cry. And when the going gets too rough, someone is there to swoop in and help save the day. Ol Grey Mare, you probably think you are just doing your job, but you have to know you're kind of a hero too!
