Granny I'm so sorry about your day. :( I don't know what the laws are like there, but I do know that here getting someone evicted is a big process. We moved right when the market crashed around here, and couldn't sell our old house, so we rented it out. We even had a rental company that was supposedly doing the screening/checking/etc etc for us. Well, the people paid their deposit, supposedly checked out well, and then never paid a penny of rent and trashed the house completely. It took us months to repair everything that they had done to it. Anyway, we had to do all kinds of stuff to get them evicted, and it took a few months (3? It was a few years and a few babies ago, so my mind is not what it used to be, lol). Like I said I don't know what the laws are like there, and I don't know who you can even call to find out, but maybe your county?

Also, I find that when you get a group of men together, that the stupidity level tends to rise. This is generally speaking and just from my own experience having 4 males in the house, not to offend anyone. :D My husband is a wonderful man; loving, affectionate, a great daddy, and pretty good lookin' ;) but he is the worst when it comes to stuff like that. Makes me homicidal.

THE MOST annoying thing that he does on a regular basis? He leaves knives everywhere. Like, steak knives, butcher knives, generally any kind of very sharp knife. He'll take something to the table to cut (like a pineapple or something, for example) and leave the $*#& knife there. He leaves knives right on the edge of the counter, resting on the edge of the sink... I'm shocked that none of my children have stabbed themselves or chopped off a finger.

Got the egg out this morning! YAY! She's still soaking in Epsom salt. Still prolapse sticking out I know she's not out of the woods yet but at least we got the egg out. Thanks everyone for the help I crushed a tums up and made some mash for her don't know if she will eat it. Going to go by the store after my doc appointment this morning and get the liquid calcium. Spraying the vetericyn on her and PH. I guess I'm not supose to use the Vaseline. I think she needs antibiotics I wish I could just go buy that. Tylan is not recommended.

Suzierd, they make a gel form of the prep-h. I got some for my poor hen.

Glad you got the egg out. Now she will stop straining and have a chance to recover.

VERY happy you go the egg out! I missed where she was egg bound... Sorry about that! Epsom salt certainly does the trick! (Aside: When you find you're EXTRA weary, fill a human-sized tub up with warm water and pour a little Epsom in there for yourself... Soak for 15-20 minutes before bed. You'll climb out of the tub feeling like you just got a MASSAGE with two glasses of wine - magnesium is GREAT for you.)

Antibiotics are useful in the case of an infection... Tylan is specifically for respiratory distress and would little for you in this case. I would never recommend treating a bird with antibiotics unless you KNOW what you are treating for. Using antibiotics and wormers incorrectly can cause resistance.

I feel like what you're doing is great! You got the egg out and are working to help her heal the prolapse. Keep her someplace quiet, dim, and warm. :)

Keep up the good work!

chitlens, you nailed it !!! next time he leaves a knife pick it up and point. lol my dh paid a month in advance plus 2 months rent. she was 10 days past the 2nd month. anyway. Men, if you make the coffee too good they will never take you out. you know what i mean. so glad the egg is out !!!! hope she is on the mend. I have heard it tends to come back after it happens once. try to keep her away from laying mash and dark for a while. couple months if u can. If you are worried about infection i would do the triple antibiotic . that wont hurt. soaking in epson sounds nice to me. something about diabetes though? dont remember. Just cooked about 15 chicken legs and thighs from the food bank. def. rooster. chicken and noodle today and dumplins tomorrow. skin/fat /red leg meat for the chickens. so far today they have had carrots (dont like), cherios, dont like , sausage biskit they LOVED. food bank for the chickens. thats terrible. makes me feel aweful. friday is a coming. LOI do have 11 doz. eggs on the other hand. i will scramble the bantams for them. I really dont know what is happening. I have always had money to at the least the month. I am just not sure where its going. need to be more careful and keep records so i can figure this out.

I got a letter from Nifty Chickens today. I am very proud of it. But it is thanks to all of you and your ovations. i am in the top 0.05 % with them for the past few months. a lot of them came from one person that i dont even get to talk to any more so if your reading , thank you. It really means a lot to me knowing you all care. Even when i am way off track.

Luke 22:36
Then said He unto them,
“But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it
and likewise his pack; and he that hath no sword,
let him sell his garment and buy one."

Mrs. B ,
can you translate please ?
