Granny, if everyone lived a life like you, all the amusement parks would go out of business. No need for them! That hornet looked nasty.

I thought maybe the Seramas could be tested for the crud. A carrier would show up positive, I think. Potential new owners could have it done. If you could rig up a heat source for winter, would you want to keep them? Maybe we can think of a way to keep them warm.

Nah. 6 foot boa constrictor. Feels like being bit by a hamster.

Kids love to see snakes. I took it for my turn at nature nuggets. It did great with the kids & everyone held it & we took pictures. But at the end as I was getting ready to put it back in the cage, I guess it was getting kinda grumpy because of the heat (97). I knew better & grabbed at it from the front & bam. I am on blood thinners so I bleed like crazy from a pinprick.

Well at the beginning of the talk, I said they could bite. Think they got the point. Lol

Wishing, I truly do want them. I worked very hard to get a start. The only elect. I can get out there is an extension cord. unless i hit the lotto. when I had electric put in the pole barn the person put an extra circuit just in case. I would need the wiring from the box to the coop. then an outlet. I know how to do this, I am not able. My son knows how to do this. He wont unless someone digs a trench 18in. deep for the conduit . The other big think is fear. I am very afraid I will slip and fall and end up in the wheel chair. It might be useless fear but there it is. Wonder where i could get them tested ? I dont think they are sick. Reading the Indiana thread , A lot of people are talking about their chickens "going down" from the heat. Putting them down in the water, giving them ice bottles. @Twisted Acres Hope you are rested this am.

O M Gosh ! I was such a brat when i was young. Friend had one as a pet and i wrapped it around my neck and knocked on my own front door. Come home to him walking through the house with his underwear in his had and he started shaking them and saying "you see what you made me do "!!!! Ya, I seen it.

LOL, I was a brat. surprised thats the only punishment i got but the image has lasted a lifetime. My mom was very protective of me. step was not allowed to touch us. we knew this and took advantage. every time they would fight we would go through the house singing Hit the road Jack.
