I have 2 roosters I wanted babies from. One is the swedish flower that lost all his toes and falls out of the saddle and the other is a candy corn polish. The hens were whipping him so bad he just stuck his head in a cinder block and gave up. He was starving to death. So i put him in my bantam coop. he isnt picked on but not a crow or any sign of wanting to mate. basically another gay rooster. First my husband (ex) and then spazz and now this thing. I just cant win.

a "prayer" my mother used to say. Why you here you old steer, you been here many a year, you been beat, banged and boar abused, now brought here for table use. I typed this into google and it came from a very old book. I was reading a LONG preview and low and behold, My grandmother on my fathers side is mentioned by name and how she made the best quilts around. I am sure there was more family because thats what it was about but i didnt know the others. How cool is that?

Had to go into town today granny to get my allergy shots & to go to TSC. On my way out to TSC I came across a very serious car accident. Impact was at both drivers front doors. By the look of both cars people were seriously injured or possibly killed. Just makes you sick to come across accidents like that. Then I got home to a great surprise, our power was back on after 3 days. Had some grocery's to bring in but I wanted to disconnect the generator & shut it down first. Did that and then remembered that I had left the farm stand fridgerator door propped open so it wouldn't get moldly, but had never unplugged it so it was cooling with the door open. Ran out the front door to shut it and stopped dead in my tracks. There was a huge plume of black smoke beyond my big pine tree in the front yard. Ran across the lawn to the neighbors to see what it was. It was my neighbors up the hill a bit, beautiful log home fully engolfed in flames. I had been standing out there for about 10 minutes when a huge explosion went off. The flames blew up in the air in a mushroom shape. I have never seen anything like it before. It must have ignited the propane tank. This was a absolutely beautiful horse ranch valued at $650,000.00. It had just recently sold. My neighbor on my other side had just walked by there earlier today for his daily walk and said he had seen a very large generator running. We'de been out of power since Sunday. Then about 4:30 the power came back on. Its very possible that if the generator wasn't wired correctly that when the power kicked on, it could have caused the generator to overload & catch fire. Its just horribly sad, so much destruction in the past few days.

oh no ! what a horrible day you had. was anyone home at the fire ? I see tons of car wrecks in front of my house. its really a bad road. If the propane tank blew it shouldnt of been too close to the house right ?
