Oh dear granny at least you have had a go. More than can be said for me this week. With Charlie not here I've not been very motivated and have eaten crap all week so far. I'm going to have get on a diet or I will be needing a cart horse and not a thoroughbred!!
I like the summer as in less mucking out of horses but not the lack of excercise that keeps the weight off.

Someone motivate me please :bow

We just had a storm come in from out of nowhere. Hubs had his "racevo" parked outside. Some panicked texts that were ignored of "will it move under its own power" ended up with me finding a tarp and slinging it over the ****** thing.

He jacked the sunroof pretty good a while ago and instead of fixing that first, he's been busy into the "go fast" bits.

Priorities. He has em.

Rain is falling! And the ground is so hard it is all running off!!

guess my cooking did more then i thought. slept 3 1/2 hrs. still raining here. Just now went out to the chickens. I figured i would just get the eggs as its too late in the day to feed them plus i gave them tons extra yesterday.. They were not in bed but waiting on me without a bite of food.

. 2 scoops of pellets and one of corn yesterday. I feed them every day but i thought sure they would have extra. I let them eat all they want and keep food down 24/7. probably why the mice. 9 eggs today.

Darned vermin!

Sigh. I have to have a serious talk with the hubs today about financials. Right now, payday is 8 days away and we have $50 in our account.

Granted there's $50 in "my" account too if I need to go into it but...this is his doing he'll just have to handle peanut butter sandwiches once we run out of sandwich meat. And rice and chicken. Lots of rice and chicken. (Yes it was on sale for $1.99/lb for chicken boobs so I stocked up knowing we were heading for some lean times)

He's not going to like my "no spending on projects for a month". We need to get back on track...and with him wanting to spend $1,000 on an engine next pay...he's cut off after that.

I'm also going to see about getting all the bills - insurance, power, cell and Internet....to come out of my account and just set up a transfer mid month....and start doing a "grocery fund" transfer to my account too. If he has any left at the end of that...then he can bump some into our joint savings to save up for the big projects - what he wants to do to the toterhome, his racevo, etc...and still have some fun money. But at least this way I can be sure bills are paid. At least he's good with rent - and since the "main" joint account does have all the cheques we'll continue it through there.

I've already set up a savings account for me that he can not see...keeping it that way. Sad but true.

I have one account for bills. One account for me and the animals. The money for the bills comes out automatically of each check. What is left goes in the second account, and when it is gone, it is gone. I NEVER take spending money out of the bills account.

Rent, electric bill, water bill, trash bill, car insurance, my prescriptions, TV contract and $50 for car repairs are included in my "bills" account.

This is the only way I budget my money.

I have a small fire proof safe that I keep my 'extra' money in. Megan has a key to it i case anything happens to me. Mike thinks I have photos in the safe. And important papers. Wink, wink
