Like looking at the tattoos, but the piercings... er ... no. Don't even have my ears pierced.

I couldn't get a tattoo because I would never be able to make up my mind what to get, especially since you can't change it. Sharpies are more my speed.

All this "It doesn't hurt" is pushing me towards one!! I'm the same @Ol Grey Mare I dont spend much on things for me either. It all goes on horse or chicken things!! I've got lots of horsey horsey clothes far more than going out clothes. But then again what's going out? The horse has his mane done more often than I have mine done!!

LOL yes, when they first started I was very ready for them to move . hahaaa But that dont change the fact that he is good. better then me. I havent drawn in a long time and am a bit jealous. No piercing for me either but i do like those dermals.

Blech - this HEAT!!! I could have sworn that the forecasts last week were for a nice weekend, this heat is some B.S. DS and I had such plans, we were going to get his fort built (the one we were going to build when summer started, lol) - yeah, did some work yesterday and called it a day because we were both hot and sweaty and having no fun and didn't even bother going out there today -- there's always next weekend, lol. The chickens are happy - because it's so hot and it's the weekend I've been able to just go out in the morning and turn them out so they can seek the shade of the woods to keep cool, they spend their entire day down by the creekside dug into little pits ---- that part of the property is starting to look like the surface of the moon

So far they're being good and returning to the coop to lay - *and* at least three of the five pullets from this year are laying now.

DD and my "grand-kitty" Addy left Friday morning to move into their new place for real (DS and I went up the weekend before to help her get furniture and big stuff moved from her other apartment over to the new place, but she came back home with us so as not to be up there alone all week since her roomies weren't ready to go up to stay just yet). As crazy as DD and DS were making me all summer (typical sibling bickering and sniping), the new found peace and quiet now that she isn't here is kind of lonely. I'm hoping to be able to sneak up there for a weekend or something in the next couple of months for some mother/daughter(s - since we'll have her roomies) time. She is still dealing with a lot of headache issues and dizzy spells, but is SLOWLY getting better. She'll go in for another MRI in the next couple of weeks and has been told to expect it to "take months" for her to get back to her old self - just hoping it doesn't cause too many issues with her classes this year - did tell her to a) make her professors aware of her condition and b) take advantage of tutor options, take extra good notes, etc and not to let things get to bad before she asks for help if she finds herself struggling.

Yeah - I'm with you on the piercings issue -- I do have my ears done (just once and it was done when I was a little girl), but some of the places/parts people are piercing these days

Grey Mare, good to hear that your DD is recovering, even if slowly. I have been wondering about her.

We are hot today too. 97 so far, supposed to top out over 100. Saving grace is we don't get humidity with the heat. Humid only when it's cold, so you feel colder at 50° than you should. Less smoke from the fires today, but we are mostly inside anyway, but no ac! waaah! Seramas are not phased by the heat, but the poor cochin gets toasty. #2son went up and wet down under their coop for extra cooling, even though the whole thing is covered for shade. Expected to cool down here next week.
