Wow, lots of posts to catch up on. I prefer large dogs to small but I love having a small dog in my lap. My step sister has a cross between a miniature dashaund and a chihuahua. It's adorable.


But I'll always love my labradoodle Meg more

NOT THE CONE OF SHAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of my springers think they are lap dogs. Which is ok by me unless they went swimming in the green/black creek.

I love show sheen it keeps the coat cleaner. Warning: do not spray your dog with it on a vinyl kitchen floor. My mother almost killed herself. Lol

Lol again twist. I fostered 2 different Persians who were so fat they could not reach around to clean their butts. I ended up shaving them. We named them MATThew & MATTalin.

Maine coons aren't supposed to mat. We've had Henry almost a year now, and not a single one. He doesn't like being brushed either, so it's good.





Scooter mats a lot. Especially in sensitive areas. Ouch!

Had a maine coon he used to get shaved every spring. Borrowed a sleeping pill from a friend one (she was pushing about 300 lbs) gave the cat 1/2 waited about an hour and tried to shave NOT happening. so gave him the other half most of him then relaxed except the vocal cords. I was having trouble sleeping at the time so I thought way not and I took the other pill, it was like I was super drunk for 3 days.

LOL - DS *really* wants to shave Sheldon, but I just can't get past this (totally irrational) fear that his coat will come back in and be forever changed. I shave the dogs with zero hesitation, have shaved horses with the same attitude - but just can't bring myself to take Shelly's beautiful coat from him.......I keep putting DS off by convincing him that something *could* happen and then his champion 4-H cat would be forever ruined.

Lol, she hated that comb. But the cyst was worse and she was much happier when the fur grew back over her shoulder and she had the cone removed.

if it works then I say go with it. You can also say if cat gets shaved then so do you. Stormy must have been part something else then because he definitely had long hair. Also about 30 pounds.
