I have four cats. Maggie has had four kittens and is very skinny. Her daughter Mog is the one we kept, she is spoilt and very fluffy. Purrer is the oldest and is really fat and nothing we do changes it, all he does it sleep. Tim cat is skinny and anxious, but is a sweet cat.

Awww - kitten pics! It is *almost* enough to make me wish we had a foster litter again - this is the first year we haven't ended up with at least one maternity foster. The 4-12 week time is the best, especially with a whole litter where you can watch the interaction between kittens and between mama and kittens as they learn how to be respectable members of feline society.

RE: Heart worm preventative - you *can* use Ivermectin (cattle solution) in place of the products actually packaged and marketed for pet use - and save quite a bit by doing so. I know not everyone is comfortable doing so, but it's an option for those who are.

you forgot destroyers of curtains, woodwork, furniture, things on counters. But I do love me a kitty.
