I keep track of any and all bills related to the dog's so if the IRS trys to audit me claiming I am making money off of the puppies I can prove I actually go in the hole. Still waiting to hear from State vet about transportation Yaks across state lines. By the time I get an answer they will probably have been sold (with my luck) Still nothing from the county on the fence and I am NOT changing diddley until they come out and mark both ends of what they want moved. Didn't seem to slow the "good neighbor" down much when he was hauling hay bales last week driving at about 40 mph or better past my place (lots of dust) Going out to the farm tomorrow not sure for how long, still need to round up a grain truck to borrow so I can get about 250 bushels of oats for the chickens for the winter.

Glad you are doing better newfie.

Good Morning all.  So nice to see some of the "girls" still in the coop.   LOL

Vet very very happy with beth's toe.   My day so far.  stopped and dropped off payment for gas (charge acct)  Stopped at bank,  Then Vet's,  the grocery store  Twice as they limit number of coupons per visit.  (I will win)  then EVIL walmart  twice as filled the cart with 200 lbs of dog chow and bandage materials for Beth's foot the first time around.  Back home unloaded everything  and 3 separate attempts to get into BYC.   and all since 7:15 this am.
Hi Twist, you've had a busy day so far. Mine very lazy, its raining cats & dogs here and my crazy chickens think they are ducks. Even my Silkies love to puddle jump. I could be cleaning house or something of that nature but it is so nice just to relax for the day. Summer is crazy go go go, enjoying the slowness of the day. I don't get many of those. I normally would be out in the rain doing stuff but its been thundering & lightening as well. With all my coops being roofed in steel I think I will wait a bit :lau

probably a good idea or you might end up looking like a frizzel silkie chicken.

Looking at the buttercup rooster and all I can think of is a lot of comb to get frost bitten and looks like a venus fly trap or evil alien.
tried to share a picture of my former Buttercup but for the last 2 days every time I try to share a picture BYC post there's been an error. Mine did get a little frostbite this past winter, not bad just a couple tips. He was a beautiful roo, just decided I wanted to go in a different direction with any breeding I did in the future.

Just cleaned out medicine closet. Anti-acid use by date of 2004. More bandaging materials then a small infirmary Hidden inside of a plastic mixer box some bandages so old the paper is yellowing. BUT still sterile. Maybe I should label the box somehow. I am not a hoarder just don't do very much doctoring and to cheap to thro out gauze and what not.

so what line of breeding are you trying for now??

Just heard from state vet ND evidently considers Yaks cattle so those rules apply. Didn't realize you can't bring and open cow across state lines MUST be preggers. Unless they are going straight to slaughter. All bulls must be tested for Tirchonosious and have papers proving breed and breeder. Good thing they don't apply those rules to humans.

although that would be one way to up our population in the state.

Well I can't really call it breeding because I know nothing about that. I am wanting to raise Icelandic, Sweedish Flower & Salmon Favourelle. All three are endangered breeds. I hatched a beautiful Ice roo, 2 beautiful Swedish Flower roos, 1 crested, 1 non crested & a beautiful Salmon favourelle roo. My goal is too find some unrelated pure bred counterparts for them.
