Wishing cheese curds at least at KFC a chedder cheese curds (cheese before it pressed into blocks) battered and deep fried... OMG so good.

"normal cheese curds" is what you get after the rennet has been added to the milk , basically its the curdles of the solids in the milk that you would strain, by product is whey, then salt the curds and press into forms/shapes. Viola cheese. the longer the cheese ages the harder and usually the more intense the flavor.

Oh, and some people who are really hard core hatchers get a second styrofoam incubator to hatch in. No turner needed and keeps the other incubator clean. These of course, are for people who hatch for 6-7 months out of the year. It's an obsession! Be careful, grey mare, that you don't become a hatchaholic!

Ah, thanks Twist. I'm not usually a fan of fried food, but deep fried cheese... might have to try that sometime.

your welcome I usually hate breading and most things fried. But cheese curds seem to be my weakness. Also if you can get fresh curds (not frozen or to old) the curds "squeak" in your mouth when you chew.

WHo has $395.00 plus shipping for an incubator ??

Way beyond a little pricey in my book at least.

shouldn't be... curds are unformed cheese . Chedder is white until they add the color. Just like butter can be until coloring is added. home churners can use carrot juice or you can buy butter coloring.
