it sort of like a military barracks they put up to house all the oil field workers because there weren't enough motel or apartments. They are portable and as the boom slows down the company can move them to another place. Sort of like the housing used during the Olympic's . Some are very nice other's not so much. Different camp also have different rules of conduct. And what they do and don't allow on the property.

because the buildings are movable and not permanently attached to the ground like a stick build building. The man camps are usually tied into the city water, sewer, and power grid though.

I was trying to help someone that had an eggbound hen. I kinda went around gina to put my two cents in. I don't know why. I haven't even had an egg bound hen. I apologized to her for stepping in. It was fine though I think. I think we're both kinda new and answering mostly by research.
