Don't give up on the muff/beard issue - one of our chicks that hatched last year lays the prettiest green (I know, you're looking for blue, lol) eggs and has no muff or beard, she does have some small wattles.

Would a cattle prod work better than a stick just for safety? I wouldn't bother calling code on that abandoned car. They're overworked and probably wouldn't come out anyway. Maybe someone will steal it? It's a shame they didn't leave a key under the seat! I missed what breed Zoomie Beth is? Congrats on the yaks, waiting for pics!

I have a confession.

I had to buy eggs yesterday.

And I got the most expensive ones.

I'm just a sucker for good packaging. And look at it! There was also a tiny newspaper inside the carton that gave an update on the flock.

I paid $9 for a gallon of milk and a dozen eggs.

I'm a sucker for great packaging! IMO, I'd keep buying the most expensive and leave the circled receipt on the counter. Dz cheapest eggs are $4.69 here. $7. for what you bought.

Holy Crow I LOVE the packaging!!! Save that box!!!! You know, I had to buy some eggs too a couple of days ago. The first time in 5 years!! It felt so weird picking out eggs.

I had run every chemical known to the chicken world through my flock these past weeks with this mystery disease, I dare not eat my eggs for a few weeks.
