This is granny we are talking about remember.   she either wont lay, die before she lays or lay a brown egg.  

Oh I hope not, just got rid of one that layed a brown egg today.

Okay, THIS is why I don't take naps!! DH is a napper, has been as long as I've known him and I know where he gets it because his folks are the same way (it was so weird to me when we started dating and Katy and I would be up at his folks' house with them all and mid-afternoon everyone went to take a nap.......). Anyway, so today he was drifting off and I *was* going to take that time to go do my barn chores, but I made the mistake of sitting down first and was hit by a sudden bout of drowsy, which I foolishly gave into......and I ended up taking an almost two hour nap. So, fast forward to now and----I am WIDE AWAKE!

We're talking, bouncing off the walls, ready to crank up the music and clean the house awake. It's a very good thing tomorrow is a "holiday" so I don't have to get up in the morning (though, I know already that my eyes will be flying open at the normal time anyway

).
Speaking of the "holiday" - how exactly does one "celebrate" Columbus day --- best I can figure it should involve some sort of misguided boat-trip, getting totally lost and, like a true man, refusing to admit you are lost so you end up renaming an entire indigenous people and then......depending on your choice of histories, dying from complications of an STD????? Not exactly my idea of a fun party, lol.

That is wonderful granny, she should be very proud of herself. Please pass that on to her. Glad everybody is healed up & feeling better.

DH has informed me that I have ECD - Eggcessive Compulsive Disorder - because he was watching me sort and pack eggs for this weeks orders. Apparently the fact that I have to have the same balance of colors and sizes (admittedly placed in each carton in the same order) is a problem. I line up the cartons and start filling with the "pretty" eggs - so everyone gets one blue and one green (they go in the middle of the back row); if I have enough dark wellie eggs each carton gets two (one if not) which go at each end of the back row; then each carton gets rounded out with equal parts of each of the brown eggs I have - shades and sizes vary depending on who is laying. That doesn't sound compulsive at all..........

I fully expect that the folks getting the eggs don't actually care, but it makes me feel better.

So glad you confessed! I think folks DO care! I love arranging my beautiful eggs! I charge .50 for my clear carton!

You could always go out 1)plant a flag 2)conquer some unsuspecting person.

I just add the carton charge into the cost of the doz. I sell a doz for $4
