Mutt , It was a failed surgery on my Achilles tendon. dr. didnt do what he said he was going to and the result leaves me crippled.
dark chocolate is the bomb !

I use wheat and barley for scratch and treats. I'm paying $6 for 50#.

still not a bad price. I think a bushel is about the same amount as a 5 gallon bucket. I know some people also use "screenings " for feed. Screenings are all the seeds and what not that should not be in the main type of grain they are selling. So the grain is ran through a series of screens or meshes that shake out all the non desirable stuff. Like when you buy dried beans of any type you always sort thru the bag (at least I do) to make sure there are no foreign objects in your beans. Like stones. clumps of dried dirt/mud/ nasty looking beans. I find the cheaper the dried beans the more "crap" you get in them.

Spinal stenosis is narrowing of the channels that the nerves run through going out from the spine. Squeezes the nerves and causes numbness, tingling, pain, and loss of feeling and eventually lose of use if the pressure is not relieved. They kind of have to rotor-rooter the some of the bone away from the nerve.

thank you wishing. that sounds very painful. I hope not. Im sorry to hear that Red.

If any of you have a chest type freezer that no longer works you can repurpose them as a small grainery. make sure lid closes. Mouse and rodent proof. if you have a 10 cubic foot freezer should hold about 10 bushels. This is what I put all of my layer in when I haul it out from the elevator/feed store.

A feed place that advertised on Craigslist had really good prices compared to TS or SS.

And it's non gmo. That's getting harder to find and more expensive.

all this different feed is confusing to me. guess thats why i stick with flock raiser . my chickens are liking the alfalfa cubes .

my either 10 ror 15 cubic freezer holds about 900 lbs of layer in the pellets. If you don't have a shot freezer you could put an add on craigs list most people are happy to give and even deliver their shot freezers rather then pay the dump to take them. Or try an appliance store ..
