thank you lisa..it is always exciting  to get the first egg..still waiting on the 3 ee's to see what color  they lay.i think it will be awhile on them..combs are still the lite pink.

Mare posted something on here that an expert knows how to tell what color the eggs gonna be by looking at the ears. To you should already be able to tell :Lau. I don't know why you and granny didn't just pick the hen with blue ears if you wanted blue eggs .

I'm hoping to open a booth in a nice downtown shop in the little tourist trap town I was born in. She's booked through Christmas, do hoping I can get a booth after the first of the year.

everyone MIA today ?  I havent needed to talk to myself in a long time but i still remember how.  I am proud of myself for all I got done today. Just hope I dont pay tomorrow. haha  It was such a beautiful day. Most of the trees are bare now and humongous leaves crunch under my feet. I sat outside to catch my breath and it sounds like rain when the wind blows from falling leaves. It was in the 70s and so nice.
I managed to find a yard sale on my way home today and forgot I had ice cream. brand new crock pot for $10. , wall hanging cupboard for bathroom $5., 2 wind spinners and a sock for the porch new, $1.50, and some stuffed animals for the dogs. They were having a ball with them til the frog croaked and the angel started reciting ,"Now I lay me down to sleep" in a young childs voice. I took that one away from them because I didnt want them to associate a childs voice with chewing and they walk a circle around the croaking frog but they still have 2 more they are playing with. I love it when they throw it in the air.

Granny glad you had a great day. I also hope that you don't pay for it tomorrow.

Finally caught up on posts. Now I forgot what I wanted to comment on. Lol

I went for my stress test today. Yup, I'm stressed all right. Lol

They will be making several months of 3X per week cardiac rehab which they said I should have had already.

newfie, sorry to hear that you have to rehab three times a week but it should help in the long run.

We got keyboarding when we hit Jr. High and then computer lab/classes in H.S.  -- I can type like a madwoman, lots of years spent in clerical work.  DH was a POG (Person Other than Grunt - aka Admin type) for 20 years in the MC and still has to hunt and peck.  He hates using my laptop because many of the keys are rubbed clean of the letter marking so he doesn't know where the keys he's looking for are. 

I can type like a madman. When I'm done you'll be able to make out one word if your lucky though lol.

Hi everyone, I see its been pretty quiet today. Hopely some of you were having the beautiful weather I enjoyed today. Got the chickens wormed today. Did 41 birds in 2 hours, including 3 butt trims & 2 Silkie face trims. It went really well.

Enola ~ glad to hear that Mike's legs are doing better, but sorry they are bothering him so much that he isn't getting rest. Unfortunately that's very typical of hospital stays. Absolutely love you sharing peter pan

Camping ~ sorry to hear that you are struggling. I want you to know that your not alone. A number of years ago when hubby & I owned our own business we were going thru severe financial problems & personal problems. I became like you are describing. I had so much built up rage at 1-my hubby 2-inlaws 3-myself. I was crashing from working 18 hour days for 2 years. My health had declined significantly & I couldn't keep it together. I was already on medication & all I could do was crawl in bed & hide. It was a really rough road, but eventually after many, many explosions it started to get better. I will be saying extra prayers for you. May God bless you with peace

Granny ~ Sounds like you had an amazing day. You so deserved it. What is SIL thinking bringing home weed? Is it not the goal to get wife clean? Does SIL have drug problems as well?

Twist ~ all I can say to you is yikes. I absolutely hate computers when something goes wrong. Praying that your problem is resolved with ease.

chicken lady she's still on the eggs. I made her get up yesterday but today she finally come out to free range for about 30 minutes and then went straight back to sitting. I got her moved to a dog kennel right beside the coop so she can still fuss at the other hen. Move went great.

That's great news Red, its so fun having a broody momma raise babies. This summer was the first time I had a hen to do it. Have always incubated before.

I /we got a nice surprise in the mail today. $100. bill with instructions to share half w/ DD. Toms daughter. I called her to fuss. asked her why ? she said your money is tight and its your anniversary coming go eat . So, I am going to spend it on chicken stuff !! hahaaa
