Try to imagine over 80 then. Dummy me brooded & sold chicks to friends & family that didn't want to deal with the mess or having to use a heat lamp. Once they were old enough to go outside I set up a bunch of dog kennels in my back garage and stored them in those until they were sold off. Bad, bad idea At least I was dumb only once

It happens Red, I only had 7 to start with, only I coop. I now have 4 coops & hoping for another large coop, but financially can't do it at this time. Keeping my eye out for someone getting rid of a shed reasonably. That would be the easiest way. Then all I would have to do is a few modifications, then Wallah, instant coop

red i have all i want right now,but there are still breeds i would love to have.speckled sussex is one and those pretty candy corn ones like granny has.so i guess it never ends..i go by the size of my coop and run. i have two coops that are connected both are 4 by 8 the run is 12 by 12.no one close to me breed chicks it's probably a good thing.

, you sound like me. What I do now is pick a breed I think I want to keep & if they aren't what I expect, I sell them. Let's me try different birds that way. I have my layers & always will, but I can throw in a little eye candy occasionally doing it that way.

i have an empty shed its looks like a little barn.it is so tempting to fill it with more chicks..if it was inside my fenced yard i probably would..be hard to move it tho..

Linda, what happened to Birdman? He used to post all the time & he had so many different breeds. Did he have to leave MI or something?

i have an empty shed its looks like a little barn.it is so tempting to fill it with more chicks..if it was inside my fenced yard i probably would..be hard to move it tho..

I've got a solution, just extend the fence around the shed, wallah new coop
