I wouldn't use SOAP  it might affect her feather's oils and her ability to keep the chicks clean. 

that should work Red . blow dry her so the babies dont get a chill.

Bring her and the chicks in together. She won't want to be separated from them. Wash her in warm water and shampoo. Just her butt. Blow dry on warm. Don't overheat her. I'd do it in the evening so you can put her back on them for the night right after she's dry.

I AM FARKING FINISHED   :yiipchick e    4570 PAGES of data and code.     Plus finished payroll for the girls and paid a bunch of bills   MY desk is back to normal.

me thinks its the OCD  but getting better it used to be that I could not sleep in the middle of a project any type of project including remodeling   Having the fire  here in 2001 helped with that a little.  

You know what helped with my OCD? Having brain surgery & being overdosed on pain medicine. First year after surgery couldn't remember shitz... Hubby would get so frustrated with me because he would ask for my help with something & I would just wonder off forgetting to go back & help him. I could not keep my train of thought going. When I tried to cook, I would turn circles in the kitchen forgetting what I was doing. I couldn't follow a recipe, would have to go back & re-read it over & over. To this day I have never read another book & I was an avid book reader. Every few days I would start a new book. Just can't keep my train of thought going that long now. I've come a long way in 9 years, but I'll never be the same. It changed something in me, my give a D@mns busted. It is no longer important for me to be able to eat off the kitchen floor or have a spotless house. I would much rather do something enjoyable, so that's what I do. My house is still clean to a lot of peoples standards, but I don't stress over it anymore. Life's too short, we need to grab a hold of some enjoyment & hang on for the ride.
