I bet that was cool, mouth breeders, very interesting lol.

it was ! they lay the eggs on the bottom he fertilizes them by swimming over and then they are carried in the mouth til hatch. at least I think thats what they did they wouldnt eat either. then they would spit the babies out for a few and suck them back in. LOL they did that til the babies got too big to fit back in there.

when 40 odd chicks died at hatch I threw it and it cracked down one corner. its still laying where it landed . In the bathtub.

Lisa, are ALL your chickens like that ? was it you that had the bubbles in the eye? I dont remember them losing weight..

Granny, my CRS is bothering me too. When did you lose 40 eggs to a poor hatch, I must have missed that over the summer or something.

last hatch. I got 3 babies out of 40something. they just got moved to the bantam coop. One is a swedish/rir cross. crested.
