Morning everyone, afternoon York ~ how is everyone today?

Morning Lisa :frow

Good thanks! How's your hen and chicks coming along?
They are doing great, the chicks like to stay under one of the other females in there as well. So Dot decided days ago that she needed to be broody as well & took up sharing broody mommas nest box. Now if the chicks feel like snuggling when momma is up eating or something they run & crawl under Dot :gig

Well that's pants advice from them isn't it!! You would have thought they would help you.

No more dogs (or at least house dogs anyway) for us when these two have passed. I'm not sure Lilly could swim this far anyway :gig
The other half may get a cocker spaniel as a gun dog at a later date but it will be an outdoor working dog and not living in the house.

Yep, the 2 females in with broody momma & babies took over rearing Fiona's first hatch this summer when she kicked them to the curb at 5 weeks. Its cute as ever seeing Fiona sharing her babies. The problem with Dot though is she hasn't figured out how to be a good broody yet. She just sits on an empty nest while the egg can be right next to her. Going to give her a trim today to see if that helps HaHa
