Camping just wondering how many of the chicks are "acceptable" as far as coloring ??  

Five for sure. One is black with pink toes, so I'll watch it. DD of course has adopted the obvious cull. So we'll let it grow a while I guess.

So the culls you could sell  as possible Hybred   I would think  labeling it as a cull might put possible buyers off a little.  

I saw a farm selling them as show quality or homestead quality. Like selling a pup that was pet quality. That option has made the mist sense to me.

Enola   I think trying the quail in the basement is a GREAT idea and a good temporary "fix"  for your chicken withdrawl symptoms.   AN dif the odor gets to bad you can always put a small fan in the basement window and blow it out or install a "fart fan" (bathroom fan)  over the cage.
