I have slept the day away, again. Mare, what chicks did they have at TSC ? I wanted to go so badly and knew I didnt have the funds so I slept. My GS name is Konner and he is going to make a post here.

Ok here is the picture of my polish. This area is constantly red. When her topknot dries out you can't notice it. Not sure what to do. I have sprayed vetricyn on it but it always stays about the Same she is all white.

hey this Konner i checked the eggs today 10/20 were right 8 were not fertile 1 died early and had the blood ring. and 1 had the air-sac in the middle of the egg.

Wasn't impressed - they had two tubs of bantams and one with ducklings, that was it. We were there yesterday (yesterday I got everything but chicken feed, *thought* I had a full bag in the storage bin, discovered that was not the case so had to go back today) and they had those plus about 10 Cornish X and 6 "mixed reds"

@h2oratt Thats part of her comb. far as I can tell, completely normal. It you can see/look up higher you will see it continues to the comb. I am forgetting the word they use (sorry) but polish have a different nostril then the other chickens. Do you have other polish ? Dont they have it too ? well, The lighter colored ones anyway.

Ahh, was trying to figure out the air cell on the side of the egg and just realized that was probably the oldest egg I had stored. it was If I am remembering right, 10 days older then the others. sitting in a basket on its side and didnt get turned enough during storage. I havent made the tray yet . am wondering if the hardware cloth is going to attract the heat and make eggs hotter then they should be otherwise ?
