Robert is in Bismarck today some kind of lung scan with radio-active fluid put in. They found 3 tiny lumps in his lungs last week and his main arteries/veins to his heart are cal-sal-fying. loosing elasticity. (sure I can spell that word) We managed to talk Rod into having his A1C levels tested and he scored a 8.7 no way we are going to get him to stick himself with a needle tho

Im bummed today. I always plant a tree/shrub, something for earth day. I got nothing. I dont know what to do with myself today.
You could always go and give your trees a big hug!

I had to get permission from the neighbors (who didnt speak english) to put my air conditioner in my window.
My sister's street is like that. One side of her house is the edge of the neighbor's yard. No windows on that side!! She put in opening skylights. We had to talk with the neighbors when her drain (from her stupid flat roof) was clogged. It drains into their yard! Luckily, her house is at the end of the row, so no close neighbor on the other side.

Greenfire Farms - Bielefelder

https://greenfirefarms.com/bielefelder.html Sounds like @twisted-acres-farm kind of forever bird.
yep to bad I don't like the coloring. :th
Hey I'm not sold on the color of the bird's myself Twist, but looking at it from a homesteaders view ~ This breed has everything you can hope for out of a breed. They are auto sexing at hatch ~ not only can you determine how many hens you want to keep or Sell ~ Big $$$'s. The birds are a very large all purpose breed & the roosters avg. over 10 pounds easy, so you can raise up as many as you want to butcher.Their eggs range in size from XL- Jumbo. No smalls or mediums there. As large as these birds are, the females reach maturity quickly ~ usually laying by 5 months old. But the real kicker is they are very docile. This picture is of my 7 week old Bielefelder & my 3 week Crested Cream Legbars. The crazy thing is the rooster is the most docile. It has even took in the little runt, letting it follow him around & normally when they are laying in the coop it is the rooster with most of the babies.

I figure I can have any kind of fluff bird that I desire as a "just fun breed" But for the rest, I need to concentrate on breeds that are auto sexing, great layers, ginormous brown eggs or colored egg layers, a desirable breed for my customers & great birds for butchering if so desired. I need my birds to generate income so I can continue to raise them. I'm truly hoping that the Bielefelders & CCL are going to earn their keep & provide me & many others with much enjoyment.

Ok, two more picture before I get back at it. Twist told me yesterday that it dont exist if a picture isn't shared. This is the green house that hubby is currently building. We won't reap the full benefits from it this year, but I hope to winter over part of my flock in it this coming winter. Let them enrich the soil, have lots of natural light & be out of the northern winds.

Please don't look at the nasty flower beds in front of it. With our current winter/spring weather I have not gotten it cleaned out. Trying to encourage my flower sprouts from peeking out from under the mulch quite yet. Went from 70° a couple days ago to 40° today grr....

A really thick green house shrink wrap

I didn't know there was such a thing! Do you need a really big hair dryer to shrink it?

This is very interesting. I will have to research and start dropping hints to hubs.

Greenhouse would be nice, but to me it's another coop!

I've got 9 babies in a cardboard box, and left 4 in the bator. I was just grabbing fluffy and didn't pay attention, so I think I left a few older ones in the bator. They all seems calm for now.

My iffy brown egg from yesterday is pipped! Now at 2 pips in 5 eggs.
