As to the feed question I go to my local elevator and buy their brand which happens to be called "Payback" current price 11.46 for a 50 pound bag and then since I pay cash/check I get a discount of 5 %

Im not mathing, How many bags did you get ?

I got the last batch of feed on 3-3-16 and we still have a little left. I also feed them feed oats which is about 3.00 for 40 pounds. They have free choice. And a large run to hunt and peck in

Tom had went to bed then a few min. ago he come stumbling through the house saying I think im in trouble. He had panic in his voice. I got him back to bed and rubbed icy hot on his leg. said it was hurting from the groin all the way to his foot. I feel so bad for him . One hand and didnt want to ask for help putting meds. on. Roberts room is right next to his and he has been told to check on him through the night.

Just raw whole oats ? Like the old fashion kind we buy ? How much of that is their diet please ? I have been stretching mine with corn.

I got 20 bags so in essence I paid for 19 bags. and 20 x 50 = 1,000 of layer in 2 1/2 months

that is more then I need in that time frame. How many chickens do you have now ?

it is unshell or husked oats and hasn't been "cleaned" of any other types of seeds or bugs. The chickes have one big trough of oats and then a metal feeder of layer. Both topped off daily.
