Camp, you dont need her permission ! call the principal and tell him your coming to sit in on his class for a while. Thats your kid. he dont have to be there by law and they are being paid by your taxes to teach .  Make them do their job.
I did it for Robert. Before I knew he was autistic. He was shutting down at school.  wouldnt talk to anyone. Me being there made him more comfortable and I did it a couple times a week for a while. If it was ok with mama then it was ok with him. He started talking.

Back when I was a good mom before they started out numbering me I would just pop in and sit and watch without warning. Sometimes in the middle of the day. They can't tell you no. Plus it gives you the opportunity to talk with the teacher before anyone else gets to her.. No appointment needed.

to bad you can watch him while he DOES NOT know you are there. and the teacher does NOT know either. your might have to get a platinum Feather so you can go invisible.

LOL at the platinum feather --- though you are right, it is a more honest view of what is going on when you are able to observe invisibly. Kids are often much different when they know mom/dad are in the room than when they aren't so while any observation may help, it would be most beneficial to do so without him knowing you are there.

My mom is coming to see my new house today!!!

It's funny, but it feels like I haven't seen her in forever, yet it's really only been a week since we were down there picking up the cat and dog (they were kind enough to keep them an extra few days after DS and I left so we could get things moved into the house without having them underfoot). I guess I just got used to seeing her every day while we were staying down there, so now a week feels like an eternity, lol. Not sure what we'll do, it's cold (well, 70, haha) and rainy here today -- was planning to grocery shop and run errands before I got her text saying she could come up today if we'd be around so........

Hoping to make a quick day trip to the coast Sunday or Monday with DH and DS, we haven't been yet since getting out here and it is high time we do it.

mare so very glad/happy for you.

She better not be mean to our Bubba, asssess will get whopped.    If a teacher cant handle a 4yr old they are in the wrong business. Plain and simple.

She was DD's teacher last year and we love her! I think she's just at her wit's end like we are. I give him a little pep talk every morning before he gets out.

He gets in trouble during hallway/bathroom times, for not keeping his hands to himself, and for not following instructions. He's only been in trouble for naps one time.

He's stubborn and doesn't give in to "because I'm the grown up." BELIEVE ME I HAVE TRIED. :barnie I think if I can be there and see where the trouble is, I can address it better.
