Picked pears. Thought i had 10. No there were 17. My eyes are so bad i thought a group of 3 was 1. Took 1 to the forehead when i shook the tree. Not bad for 1st productive year!
OUCH - sounds like something I would do. Nice harvest!

Awwww, too cute!
You don't have to out run them but be faster then ONE other person. Tripping is acceptable
Exactly - I always tell the kids, "In the woods or zombie apocalypse make sure you have at least one slow friend - you don't have to outrun the bear or the zombie, just the person next to you"

Up to 3 banty cochin babies!
Squeeeee, fluffies!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing! Jane's variety looked nice... yellow flesh!

So glad I'm not the only one.....

That is so sweet.wish he was here to fix all the holes in Spuds toys..That is worth bragging about...
I'll send him your way. He had a bit of a rough afternoon (we came upon an accident scene immediately after it had happened so stopped to render aid, he stayed back while I helped and seemed ok, but after we got home he got kind of upset about it all) so it was nice to see him settle into a project and start to smile and laugh again while messing with the dog.

a couple heavy duty large round bale feeders and you just never know what "treasures" you will find Hoping for a PORTER "PROOF" feeder. He liked to re-arrange the old one and sort of toss it around should it not be where he wanted or filled to his desired capacity

Do you need it to be mobile so you can shift it around to avoid poo buildup/ground damage in the area of the feeder or would a fixed location (or two or three that you could rotate between when you put out fresh bales) work?

Sis was given heavy pain meds and released late last night/early this morning......neither she nor mom were up to providing a lot of details by the time they got home, just a quick text letting us know they were headed that way, so I can only guess from what I do know that it was probably another stone issue.

Red beans, rice, smoked sausage, tomatoes& taco seasoning. And we have lunch. Sweet tea
YUM!!! Sounds delicious -- and sweet tea, oh sweet tea! NO ONE up here serves sweet tea (except McD's and even they manage to f it up)..........I need to remember to get tea bags next time I'm at the store so I can make some good stuff!

Well, off to start some chili for tonight, forgot to set the beans to soak last night so guess it's "quick soak" method time......

Ugh. Landlords.

Your chickens are destroying the ice plant!

Uh...chickens are contained in the raptor paddock except for sparkles who does escape yes but doesn't shred the stuff. He was upset she knocked some over trying to hunt for bugs. (It's kind of a creeper type plant) looked at the offending spot, flopped the ice plant back over, hey look can't tell she was there. No ice plant was harmed in the hunting for tasty bugs.

The stuff in the front has been dying off for quite a while cause he doesn't water it. The stuff in the back has come back cause there's sprinklers on em. (He also gets offended if he sees me gardening or tending, since "landscaping is included in rent")

Goes off saying how she'd be better off as soup. Uh. No. You do not say that about my sparkles nugget. She may be an escapist honey badger of a hen but she's my honey badger of a hen.

Ugh.

Here's hoping in two weeks the mortgage lady can work some magic and we can find something good. I'm kind of tired of half donkey poultry housing and having to deal with others silliness.

ice plant can be invasive. I hope it comes back to bite him in the rear.

Oh he has it as an intentional. When my girls were jerks from free ranging before I got a flat and tried to replant some.

I even put a little sprinkler on a little hose that I thought seldom got used. Apparently not. He took that off right quick :/
