I am impatiently waiting on my financial aid disbursements from school, then I'll be hoping they have any chicks left!

I'm thinking of 'stocking up' for spring, POL pullets sell for $10+ around here in the spring!

I did it! I ordered the EE pullets for 9/28. DH was so reasonable about it, even though this means he has to build me yet ANOTHER coop.

I just casually mentioned the great deal and how cool it would be to have some EEs and how if we wanted them laying in the spring we should get them now. And he said "YES!"

Boy I married well!

My daughter and I recently tallied our flock and concluded that our hen/rooster ratio was dangerously out of whack. These 25 pullets should tip the scales in the right direction.

Thanks!!! I can't believe I can get 25 sexed chicks for the same price I paid for 3 back in springtime.

Oh, man!!!!! I've been dying to get some more EE's, but I've been trying to be reasonable and mature about this and not get any more chicks right now. Did you HAVE to post about this???

I can feel my resolve sliding down that slippery slope. . . . .

Hikerchick, I like the way you rationalized why you need to order the pullets!!!

My biggest motivator right now is that I have more egg customers than eggs, so I need layers. Unfortunately, these babies wouldn't be laying until Spring, so I've got to work on my rationalization!!!!
