Where is that recipe?  Pretty  Please      You can  e-mail it to me if you'd like.  Is it in a book?   I might be able to get it from the public library.

you can find the recipe on foodnetwork.com Roasted Tomato Soup by Tyler Florence. I made the soup once but have used the roasting part for a base stock. I basically stop after the first paragraph and when it's cool I give it a quick blend in the blender and put that in containers and freeze it.
I have doctored this up. Bacisally I chop up fresh basil and add some Italian seasoning right ontop of the tomato onion mixture on the cookie sheet.Any kind of onions work also. Mrs. Rancher will know how to make this work.

Well my tomatoes are all starting to crack cause of too much rain. I would have twice the harvest if the chickens would stay out of the garden.

Gotta fence it in. My chickens jumped up to eat the tomatoes at the top. They are a bunch of Greedy Smurfs.

Yes it is homesteadish and cheap. I got lots of branches and blown down trees. No since spending money when the good Lord provided me with these.

I save that stuff to use too. People think I'm nuts but I dont' care. I save all the fairly straight limbs I can from tree removal and trimmings around here to use for chicken and garden stuff.

Does anyone else here grow super hot's? This is my first year with the super hot's but I am now addicted. These are my Trinidad Scorpion ( Butch T strain) peppers. second hottest pepper in the world at the moment.

I got some habinaro's going but not sure what to expect from them. maybe I should do a search to find out. I have them in a hanging basket and what's growing is small, but I'll wait and see what happens
