Grieving Button Quail.

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately one of my button quails has died. She was a good little bird. She had a massive tumor growing out of her side and died last night. Her mate has been calling all day long and is refusing to eat or drink or anything. He has been sitting on his rock all day just doing that call of his.

Anyone know what to do from here?

I'm sorry your quail died . Losing a pet is difficult . I think @ButtonquailGirl14 is in a similar spot right now—you might talk to her about how to help out a grieving male.

find them a new mate of a similar age, and preferable the same gender as the last.
