Grown rooster in brooder?

Hello and welcome to BYC!

You might just keep the rooster nearby the brooder, not actually inside with the chicks. Keep an eye on him for now around the chicks, once he is an adult you can mix him in with the older hens.

I had a rooster chick with a bum leg, who was getting tromped on by the other chicks his age.. When I put him in with baby chicks it was better, because they were much calmer.
