I had looked into guard geese for myself but read enough on this site to realize that it doesn't usually work the way people hope it will. I do have geese but they're not used as guards. They are such a joy to have.
I love having them and they're not harming the chickens, I will say they stand toe to toe with our blue heeler though and see him more of a threat than the chickens. So I'm hopeful they'd do the same with foxes and coons.

I just don't see that happening unless they have goslings they're trying to protect. I'm not trying to rain on your parade for the fun of it, just want you to be aware of the reality of what guard geese actually turn out like.
