Guessing @ 2 Barred Rock baby chicks ...New Photos 9/19! Genders?

I'm just not sure yet. At hatch I would have said S was a roo and T a pullet, but in that last pic they look reversed, and in one pic they both look like roos. Sorry, try again in 3 weeks or so. My only barred rock boy was very obvious from the get-go, my husband brought home a dozen barred rocks from the feed store and 2 days later I could tell he was a roo.

Thank you for posting... "they look reversed" = that's exactly what I thought!
I will be posting photos weekly until we figure it out.

The above photo shows different areas circled in coordinating colors.
The yellow circled tails: The left is more stripey
The pink circled wing areas: The left is more stripey, the right is more black along the bottom edge, and more black when the wing is spread.

The below photo shows a close-up of the chick in question.


Neither bird has the dark wash on the legs & toes that I would like to see

just a bit of gray. But I found this photo onsite of a br hen which doesn't have much gray on the feet/legs either... I read hatchery birds leg shades of gray can vary.


So do you think there is any glimmer of hope for my little one to be an upcoming pullet?

Older girls lose their leg colour as they age. I'm still thinking two boys The chick in question is definitely a boy though. The other one, I need a clearer picture of the comb. Again, I think it's a boy as well. The one to the left is just a better quality male than the one on the right. Check out the difference in barring between these two brothers:

New October photos! 1 month young Please guess in the poll, and it would be great if you would state "Male because ..."
Right is Tiny & Left is Smudge = Smudge has red in his comb & little red wattles. Tiny, not so much.


The next photo below shows "the poof" of back feathers absent from Tiny (left) and big on Smudge (left). The way they hold their wings are different. Tiny on the left holds wings tight & together on the top / Smudge on the left holds them apart & down, showing this poof on his back. Mean anything?
Tiny is a tad darker, more black & white defined stripes / Smudge definitely gray.



Tiny below standing up with no wattles showing and darker striping. (Excuse the dirty feet, drizzling rainy weather today is making mud!)



Head spot below still wayyy smaller than the other chick's.





So ~ on the left directly above is Smudge who is definitely looking like a young cockerel based on the lightness. The photo above also shows that "back poof" of feathers between the wings that I mentioned. But anyway, these are barred rocks, they are supposed to be barred - I've researched tons of photos that show lighter females, darker males. Head spots & leg coloring turn out to mean not-so-much on other Barred Rock gender prediction threads.
What do you think?
