I have never seen anything like that so maybe someone hasSo, here's ET right now, Day 17.
Should I take off the saran wrap or put some holes in the wrap for more oxygen? When I took off the wrap to take these pics ET peeped! Twice! Also, any ideas on what this white "stuff" is would be great.View attachment 2160661View attachment 2160662
Yup. I put in a couple day 13 chicken eggs this morning. It's held at 99.5 via all of my calibrated thermometers, and 45% humidity since yesterday afternoon. I'll put them in this afternoon probably.Make sure that bator is stable before you stick them in you don’t want to lose them when they’ve come so far
At least you’re being smart about it. I’ve seen people just throw eggs in an incubator and wonder why none hatchYup. I put in a couple day 13 chicken eggs this morning. Oh me too! Most people never even add any thermometers or hydrometers. I like to get to know the incubator before I even think about putting in eggs. I played around with it all evening yesterday, lol. The numbers on top are dead on, I'm pretty happy about that. The humidity % is off by 3%, which isn't a big deal to me. I'm excited to switch my eggs over though, I can add water without opening the lid and I can see through the plastic. My other incubator has frosted plastic, why the manufacturers would do that I'll never understand. LolAt least you’re being smart about it. I even test mine after pulling it out of the box. You never know what will change after you unplug them.Oh me too! Most people never even add any thermometers or hydrometers. They always change every time you unplug themI do the same, every season I check them again and in the case of some incubators I checked them against 4-5 calibrated thermometers spread around the incubator before every hatch. lol
