I want to see some pics of those little sermas.I jusssssss have to have some thinking next hatch I will do sermas and silkies for my showgirl project. Good luck to everyone I am so thankful to have found all of you
You are saving my non chicken loving freinds from having to listen to me talk about my babies all day
I'm gonna be in trouble when these hatch, actually - I was supposed to have cleaned out my hatcher/brooder room, and I didn't (it's a mess, I stored some stuff in there, can hardly walk in the room
)
I need to bring in another brooder for the new hatches, and I already have two brooders in there with 13 babies form the last hatch. But, then I'm done (so I say) until December. Usually I don't start hatching til then, but I was "testing" some eggs
speaking of coops - I sold what was left in the brooder coop last night at the sale (yay!) so now I can clean it out and seperate my pures into groups so I can be sure of whom I am setting and hatching. (double yay!!) By december I ought to for sure have pure bred eggs - finally!!!
I know any orp eggs I hatch will be pure, now, but the others I'm not as sure of. The trick is, with them running together, I don't know whose eggs are whose
