yuck jury duty. not fun. thank god i got out of mine i didn't have a babysitter.
Our attorneys didn't care. If your selected then you have to figure something out......so the one woman who was selected is a single mom who owns her own business. She had to move all her Appts causing her to lose money and figure something out for her 5 year old daughter. They don't care.
Hope you have a great hatch. And I hope you held off on the shine until after lockdown!

Not bad, I agree. I texted the seller. If I can spare the money, I might go for it. Still undecided. Or I might ask if they will take a little less $$ and see if that makes it easier for me to justify.
At what day did you open the ones that looked vacuum sealed? In my opinion, there are many reasons that cause an unhatched one to look shrinkwrapped. If the air cells don't get big enough, then the chick gets too big, and doesn't have enough room to maneuver inside the egg, causing it to use up all the fluid and get trapped. On the other hand, if the air cell grows too much, then the chick also gets trapped if it isn't strong enough to break into the air cell. So humidity must be in an acceptable range for the air cell to grow properly, and temperatures must be in the right range also, so that the chick grows at the proper rate.

So... I told myself I wasn't going to set any more eggs for a while.... but I lied to myself. I have 7 to lockdown in a couple of days, and then I was going to be done.
Well, instead, I now have 5 (yes, just 5!) of my cuckoo bantam cochin's eggs in there. I have been dying to hatch some of hers, since I determined which egg was hers, and last night, they jumped into the bator and I just had to let them stay.![]()
(see, my thinking is, if these sell well, then I might be able to justify that new incubator! LOL)
. Well if it's only 5 does the batch really count, WV?
It's called fertility checking!!!! Duh!

Oh BTW!!!! I have a hatched Silkie!!!!!
And 2 more pips!!!
