Happy to be a new backyard chicken owner

Hi everyone!
I have a young flock of 10 hens currently 19-21 weeks old and am still anticipating my first egg.
I purchased them from my local feed store in August at 2-4 weeks old and love each one of them!

I have 1 BO “Peanut Butter Puffy Butt” 21 wks., 1 black sexlink “Matilda” 1 golden sexlink “Daisy Mae” & 3 Ameraucanas “Nikki, Laverne & Shirley” all 20 wks., 2 RIR’s “Rosie & Ruby” & 2 white Leghorns “Pink & Izbee” all 19 wks.

I live in west central Fl near Tampa and am originally from the Pocono Mtns. of Pa. I look forward to learning from seasoned chicken owners and meeting some new friends!

If you haven't yet, please make your chickens a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!
