My hatch was set on the 8th. So Friday was DY21. 4 of the 6 have hatched, 1 LS x RIR and 3 SLW. one of each left in the bator, no signs of pipping. The last to pip was about 4pm yesterday. How long do I leave it before I should inspect (maybe float test Ive heard mentioned here and a peek inside?) If one is just positioned badly I wouldnt want to leave it too long...
Today is Dy22, do I leave it until 2morrow? Its best for me to do stuff at night as I have 2 yr old twins!!
I'll post pics as soon as get a chance!!
i checked my suspect egg early on day 23. (candled on Dy 22 and didnt see signs of life, but a large air space) I opened up the air space, then the membrane, it hadnt made it but was a late death as its head was tucked under wing. Dont know if the air space was too big and thats why he went or whether it got larger in the last couple of days since he died?
