Hatching day 25 ( Second time lucky)

Okay doke. Thank you for all your help! I quickly opened it up to put a wet paper towel in and put him onto a dry one because his legs were slipping on the floor . I really hope one of the others hatch so he's not lonely . Is it normal to not hear any peeping from the others at day 27? There are no pip holes .. Not that I can see anyway.
I've named him Winston if he's a boy and Winnie if she is a girl! )

Ok so, the little duckling keeps climbing over the eggs and getting himself stuck and peeping hysterically and I was worried it would prevent the other eggs from hatching.

So I have taken him out and put him under the brooder.. he was dry before i did this. He has been in there for about 8 hours now.

I tapped the other eggs and they didnt respond or move.. got a really bad feeling about this He is peeping and is lonely

Could just be that this little one was a bit early and the others aren't internally pipped yet to respond to you. The 28 days is just a guideline after all and it's only day 27 now.

I just had my batch hatch out a couple weeks ago. No idea why, but they hatched out all staggered (about one every 12 hours) even though they were all placed in the incubator at the exact same time. I had one hatch on Day 26, the last hatched on Day 32. All are perfectly healthy and happy, just some size differences of course between the first ones and the last ones. Anyway, just be patient. Hopefully you'll have some more pips soon!

ooo I really really hope so Orca!
And to be fair, this little chap is fighting fit.. he is climbing everywhere and was even climbing on the eggs. .so maybe he was just strong enough to come out of the egg early.

Fingers crossed.. still can't hear anything but maybe they are just taking their time. I will let you know if anything happens!

So this little munchkin has slept on a bean bag on my chest all morning and wont leave my side! I've finally got him/her off to sleep in the brooder with a mirror in there.







Lets hope he gets some brothers and sisters soon!! Fingers crossed.

I knoooow. I am so in love with the little guy. Adorable. I think there is another one hatching. I have spotted a tiny hole and can hear tapping noises. Fingers crossed he will have a little brother or sister soon!!

I have been putting him near the incubator.. I had to take him out because he kept on lying on top of the eggs and I was scared the others wouldn't be able to hatch out? Do you think I should put him back in???
