Krazy, I'm hoping to have the cabinet going before they get here. I had to buy the LG, which is on the kitchen island calling to the EE eggs I have collected, but I'm resisting... G would most certainly kill me if I had to buy another. Eep. Plus, one is April's and I want to get it back to her ASAP!

Donna & Shellie - meet the chick from the waxed egg! I am so amazed it hatched. I wish I would have taken a picture of the egg...it was more wax than shell!

It is incredible how nature can really surprise us.

Those are some BEAUTIFUL babies!!!

Our newest Sebbie pair Liberty (blue goose) and Justice (buff gander) gave us their first three eggs this week. Almost at 100% all pens laying now. Adding one more adult pair of SQ grey dewlap toulouse and we are done with breeding stock until fall.

LOVE the names! I haven't gotten any goose OR duck eggs from my birds yet!

Two baby goats born to sisters today.. both first time mommy's. pretty cool!

So adorable! I'll take the first one! Nubians are my favorite goats!

Thanks for posting - this is inspiring. I actually waxed a cracked egg night before last (my 1st time). I only saw the huge crack on 1st candle when it already had great veining so I left it in trying to decide what to do, 3 days later I candled expecting a bloodring but found a dancing embryo so I waxed but w/o much optimism. Now I'm more hopeful the wax will work

GUESS WHAT!?! I got my first Pilgrim goose egg today!!!! This is from my youngest pair and it is the first egg ever from my goose in that pen.
