Sunday some moron came through in a canoe. (that's actually kinda funny, lol)

The ducks and the geese have been having a blast. No crappy kiddie pools can compare. (that's what my Mater is thinkin too)

No what was funny was them freaking out when the turkeys decided to mob them! Now that I laughed over even when they threatened to call the sheriff! I just yelled back asking what they were going to say? That they were trespassing and attacked by my guardian turkeys? And of course if they did and the sheriff did come out I would have been sitting there surrounded by my babies getting cuddled and hugged. Yeah real tough mean turkeys!
My neighbor found them trying to drag their canoe over our joint driveway. He's pretty particular about that driveway. I have a feeling they were well taken to task.

Just thinking about those silly turkeys makes me laugh again.

I saw the homes in the pic. Wild fires are pretty scary stuff. They go where the wind blows and can jump so e pretty big distances. The fighters that work them are pretty amazing.

we had a ditch fire burn down a house yesterday about 5 miles north of our place... never did understand people who start a "little" fire on one end of a field, in their shorts & flipflops and then are surprised when things get away from them!!

There are still six in there and doing fine. None have pipped through the air cell, but should be soon. I dropped one the other day.

I was pretty bummed about that. Poor little guy opened his eyes looked at me and died. My hands suck sometimes. So seven were still good until I think it was Sunday when I was candling and pulling eggs. So soon we should have some little mixed baby Turks. Can't wait to see what they look like now and later.

These guys will have to move to the next stage pen.

awww, sorry about seven, glad the others are doing good though, shouldn't be long on them, I think I set these a day or so after sending yours.

we normally get west winds in the mid day, today they were coming from the ocean.

However here is a cool picture taken from mainland looking back this evening at the island the space center claims it is 75% contained. Now if the wind will calm down for the night they will keep it under control. not the first, not the last. now if my darn goats would give brirth this century I would be exstatic lol

Wishing the best for you. Just saw it on the news, claiming only 50% contained. Have to love accurate information!

I have a hen who is trying her best to hatch golf balls. She's a first time broody, but she's been on them about 4 or 5 days. Do you think it's safe to give her a few eggs?
