Depending on how feathered they are I throw them out at around 6-7 weeks, and it is alot colder here!

I do the same. I have put mine out at 4 weeks (of course not nearly as cold) if they are fully feathered.

They were sent express mail. The post office told me they were guaranteed to be here by 3 but if they don't know where they are I do not see how that can happen..

How do you loose CHICKENS???? I hope yours are OK too.....

I might have to cancel all future shipments of eggs. I'll know after 11:30 or so. Two jails are closing, which means lots of jobs lost. George is the Major, which means he's not union. He also has over thirty years in, which means he could be forced to retire, which means half of his retirement would go to his ex wife. We're already trying to watch our money and I have to finish school then go for RN schooling. If anyone has a spare moment to send an extra prayer or anything, I'd greatly appreciate it. We just need time for me to finish RN school and start working.

I need to find someplace warm to go. It is 20* right now, and will be warming up to 37* later. We are excited to be above freezing, but it won't last. It is supposed to get COLD this weekend, which happens to be the weekend that I planned a family snow trip

I have been snow skiing since I was three, but I have to say, I hate cold. I'm not a huge fan of snow either. Almost enough to make me want to move back to TX.
