I'm getting rather exasperated. Of my 4 remaining leghorn chicks, one is now somehow flipping on to her back and is unable to get up unless I flip her over. Also lost 2 of the barred rock boy packing peanuts. I'll be surprised if she's alive in the morning.

Gave the 4 little ones some yogurt this afternoon, hopefully that will help with the pasty bums. They all got a bum cleaning this evening, hopefully I'll still have 4 littles in the morning.

G'morning guys!!! Sorry Steph for your loss. I have to put my NL CL roo down today and looks like one of the hens might not make it either. I also have a part bart to put down with a beak growing in sideways. Welcome to Monday.

It depends. It could be nutrition or genetics. It will usually get worse as they age too.

Well, right now it's just one breed so I'm wondering if it's genetics.

I'm so sorry to hear that. That is rough. You have had a really rough patch with your birds and genetic abnormalities recently. Hope you week gets better.
