off topic: please forgive.

So I am pretty darn depressed.

I was asked to do a furniture inventory of the building which I initially argued against because I didn’t really see the value-added. And it was going to take quite a bit of time. But the boss insisted and I rolled up my sleeves.

Then, after contemplating it, I thought why don’t I incorporate the use of intelligent dynamic furniture blocks so that when I am done, I can extract the data to a spreadsheet whenever needed and it would be automatically updatable at any time in the future. And I could also extract just the data for certain rooms so that when we go in to do a room reconfiguration we would know exactly what we had and what we needed and could craft a concise list of exactly what we needed to buy or bring up from the warehouse to do the work.

I crafted some intelligent blocks and showed the boss the potential. He hadn’t even known it was possible and He loved it.

And then with his next breath he asked me to write a read-me file so that if they got rid of me that a novice could still operate the blocks and extract the data.

Oh I'm sorry dear.
DH actually has turned down jobs to be part of a bigger team for that reason. he tends to be the sole IT guy who also does most of the internal programing and DBA administration and chose to go broad so he was at places that he was hard to replace . His dad was in the aerospace industry in So Cal when it all melted down and it really affected him. I hear stories like this and I understand those choices.

When I did have to do layoffs as a manager, I used to argue for better over cheaper with employees. But I was in areas that that made a difference, and even then it was a hard fight. Id take this time to remind then even if they could get the info out, they would not be as creative and clever with its use as you will, who built it.
Isn't that the truth. My CL roo was put down due to legs issues and I have a CL hen I need to put down for the same thing. I believe shipping stresses them and sort of triggers the disease symptoms through the vaccine.
I am 100% of the opinion that shipping does this. I have Turkeys on the property and expose all chicks to them for a fake Mareks vacc. You also have to remember that there are hundreds of different types of Mareks and you can only vaccinate against a few. On the other hand, if you are not going to practice stiff bio-security, and have people over who are around a lot of birds, you do expose them to a lot more. I don't vaccinate but have told people who want birds for petting zoos, public places or are around a lot of bird farms to think about it.

OK, now back to catching up on the thread,I hit quote instead of multi and was chatting early..

Does anyone have any eggs or chicks or started Olandsk Dwarfs that they want to trade or have to sell. Pretty much all of you know what breeds I have but here is a list: I will trade chicks for chicks & eggs for eggs. Not eggs for chicks.

I am looking for information on converting a wafer thermostat brooder to a digital. Any suggestions? Also have a still air incubator
That I would like to add a digital thermostat to. About a month ago a link was posted to an eBay auction for a aquarium thermostat, I had it on my watch list but it got removed some how.

I ordered all SFH and got one of these guys. He has dark grey legs. The rest of the guys are SFH, but I think I ended up with this guy as a mistake.

It could be still.. I have a chocolate SFH- very pretty with chocolate legs and beak- Jenny said she had never had one but, had heard one other person with this. The comb is the only thing that throws me off. Maybe she threw in a spitz because they aren't selling like they hoped. Have you seen the RBA?? WOAH!

I guess we will see as he grows out. He is really kind of cute, a bit "Roostery" but cute. He needs a couple of weeks on him before I can send him to CPL anyway.

If you have noticed, none of their chicks are selling like they use to. They have a rare chick auction up right now. $111 and 2 hours left. In bygone days it would have been 3 times that amount by now.

Oh yes you sure are right they owe us eggs or chicks and I don't know what to do. That is sad they have so much potential.

I purchased one, but I hesitated to use it because of what BettaCreek went thru to get hers changed over (transformer/external relay). I have an old sportsman, so the draw might be higher than the relay will stand. I have been told it will work, but I haven't put it together yet (still painting).

The auction is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/170848694225?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

The relay contact point current says: 5A/220v. The thermostat wafers are 110v, 22A. If you understand electronics you can probably find out if this will work for you.
