Good Morning All

Have chicks hatching this morning!! I managed to get Silkies, Serama, BBReds, Mille Fluer OEGB, Australorp and Silver Phoenix in lock down at the same time so it is really fun to see who gets out first

Morning all .................. woke up to a sore throat this morning. Gonna make for a long day.

We have two white sebbies hatched, a mess of khaki ducklings hatched. Have a dewlap and another sebbie externally pipped, and Lavender Laced Orps in lockdown from Gabble, as well as EE from our stock and Light brahma

We are forecast for a sunny day with temps near 40 F. I know for some of you, that would be bad news......but for me it is great news!! Yesterday, when I went out in the morning to do chicken chores, I heard a red winged blackbird singing. They are the true heralder of spring here and I'm looking forward to getting out and doing some coop cleaning today. I've got eggs in the incubator and more coming the next couple of weeks.........so I'm a happy camper!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Believe it or not, We (southeast MO) are to get snow tomorrow!! Some schools were closed from snow yesterday.... I wanted to try to put my Australorp pullets in with the big girls this weekend. Now I'm not sure I should - its only 30 degrees outside ....May have to settle for just cleaning the barn.....

I feel your pain. We're suppose to get snow Monday but then the temps are suppose to go up to in the 50s the rest of the week. Come on Spring. I want to see greenery and flowers blooming.

It warmed up here for a few days and some Easter Lilly's bloomed and a few little wild flowers popped up, then boom - 22 degrees at night, 30' during the day and "frozen flowers"! It was in the 70's here in December - I think Spring is skipping us and we will go straight into Summer - 90's+
