I don't know how many hours, but I worked on it for three weeks before the contest.  My mom and sister helped, and we won first place.  It was fun, and we are planning to enter again this year.  Any Ideas on what we should make?  We have not decided yet.

Once again, Pysankygirl's Barnevelders are popping fast. And a day early. I checked this morning before beginning to clean cages. I saw one pip. By the time I finished all four cages, she was out and others were pipped. 6/8 went to lockdown. Last time all the ones that went to lockdown hatched, so I've got my fingers crossed for a repeat!

Excellent!!!! I don't know why, but my Barnevelders always hatch at day 20 for me, too. fingers crossed that you get another good hatch!!!

I made a Gnome house last year for Christmas. It's 100% eatable. It was for a gingerbread contest.

What would make eggs set on the 14th explode today. I walked in my house and could smell it. I checked and two eggs I had received on the 13th and set on the fourteenth exploded. I've never had this happen before. Especially this early. Got any ideas. I have a mess to clean.

This is why sellers should never sell eggs mroe than 3-4 days old. I had one weeping and got it before it exploded. Sadly, none of the eggs from that person hatched. I was not surprised.

Flocks I hope these were not any of the eggs I sent. If they were I am so sorry. I do not think they would have been old enough to cause problems. I can not guarantee since they were from an outside source.

No it's modeling chocolate. That's what I do all my cakes and cookies in, it's easy to work with, and tastes great too!

I am so sorry to hear that! Never had a exploding egg, or a real stinker yet either. Not looking forward to the day. What are the chances of the eggs it was near being ok?

Two eggs exploded, but 4 others were leaking. Everything stinks to high heaven. I'm just sick about it as it was a lot of eggs that had even droplets on them. They were in on the second shelf, so some gunk made it through the holes in the shelves both ways. I just don't know of anything is salvageable. What really makes me mad is that I had them in there for such a short period an can think of no reason for them to explode like that.
