Haunted Woods canceled tonight

And a bad day gets worse. First, Em abandons me and now
the Haunted Woods cancels for tonight.

Waiting untill 7:00 to cancel officially but it's raining cats and dogs
in Spookland. Bummed, but the weather can't be helped. Better to
cancel than chance someone having an accident.

Hard to hayride in the rain, and while some props can get wet others
are a bit to high dollar to allow that. So maybe tomorrow night before
we wrap it up for the year. (Never on Sunday, and many have real jobs
preventing a Monday haunting.)

But it has been fun. Memorable for some.

One young teen, after being scared, ran off into the woods only to run
head first into a tree. Trying to run through strange woods in the dark
in generally not the smartest thing.

A lot of people have had to be helped out, under lights. A few backed up
after buying tickets only to see other people coming out. Running, screaming.
Most seem to have a good time.

After they calmed down.

But we were missing someone in our group this haunting. Our photo/video man
and his family had to bow out for medical reasons. I'm not going to say what, but
that they have a very sick little girl who's been in the hospital for a month now.

6:40...another corn field just called. They've canceled also. So I guess we'll cancel
also now.

I hope she heals soon.

Too bad you had to cancel. But that means you have more time to hang out with us!

Sorry about the cancellation and hope the weather clears by tomorrow. It's heading this way in the form of SNOW! 3 to 9" depending upon who is doing the prediction. Wet snow on leaf covered tree limbs = downed power lines. I do hope this misses Sourland.

All isn't lost.

Out theater group is still having their haunted BUILDING tonight.
So I'll pop down there. It's in a barn.

We use to be in a building next to the fire department, but the fire
marshall shut us down. Us, and most of the other groups around.
I mean, we ARE the fire deparment and the trucks were right next
door. But the building we were in was not up to code.

So it goes.

Everything has goverment rules.
