Hawks break through netting?

Hi everyone, we are putting up netting to keep hawks away from our birds. For visibility, we got the bright orange plastic stuff at the big box store (I think it's actually called "erosion control"). My question is how much faith should we have in this stuff? It's easy to cut with scissors, so I have a fear that a hawk will pull it or cut it with their talons. Has anyone experienced something like that?

We are adding other measures too - cd's, scarecrow, weird eyeball things from Amazon.

The hawk just sees a bright net barrier. It has not idea how strong it is and is unlikely to land on it to find out.
Also, Momma hawks probably teach their kids never to fly with scissors.
