Heard someone crow today...

But pullets crow too? This I did not know it was a pretty half assed weak crow but if it was the first then I’m sure they will get more respectable unless it’s a hen?
Pullets nearing laying age can be very vocal. Are you sure you heard a crowing attempt and not just a noisy, has-a-lot-to-gripe-about pullet?

It was definitely different than all the other noises I’ve heard them make to this day. And that’s including when they had a baby coyote in the run on the 4th of July!

At first it was normal sounding then it kinda dragged on and was like multple syllables and the more I thought about the more it reminded of a crow

Sounds like someone's about to come online. They can get a bit dramatic when the first start laying.

All of those birds look like pullets to me.. some look like they are ready to lay soon. I know that my Asian Black pullets are extremely vocal now that they have come into lay. They have a song they sing before and after laying and it can sound very unnerving at first and I suppose similar to a crow in some aspects..
