*Heat Of Battle*A Warrior Cat Role Play

"You couldn't talk to him?" Rainspark asked.
Birchclaw lashed his tail, spattering blood across the ground."Owlclaw never listened. I tried, many times, but he never listened. He deserved to die when that fox killed him! He was dishonorable and untrustworthy, not just to Badgerfang but to others and the way he fought. He fought like a rouge, not a clan cat." He looked at Spottedsplash, his eyes softening. His blood stained paws, flexed as he dug his claws into the ground. He lowered his head, crouching down before her."Forgive me."He whispered.

~

Spottedsplash looked at him, her tail whipping back and forth. She unsheathed her claws, and raised a paw, ready to strike the death blow. She slammed her paw down, but felt a small body rather then the strong muscle of Birchclaw. She looked down, and reeled back, letting out a screech. At her paws lay the dead body of Morningflame, her neck twisted oddly, blood staining the ground. Birchclaw should have died for lying, against the code of the tribe, but instead, a innocent SheCat took his place.

Flamefang hurtled forward and slammed into Spottedsplash, pinning her to the ground, "How could you?" he demanded, but besides anger, his voice also shook with sadness and disbelief.
~
Thunderstrike's and Rainspark's faces shifted from emotion to emotion, very unreadable.
~
Meadowpaw, from her nest of solitude, had her head raised and her eyes widened, "No." she whispered.

(Flashback, Morningflame POV)
Morningflame watched as the scene unfolded before her. Her muscles twitched as she watched. Birchclaw bowed before the SheCat he cared for so much, and she raised a paw, ready to strike. The calico's green eyes flickered with emotion for a moment, and the light quickly faded. It all happened so quick, but also so slow. The moment the calico's paw started coming down, Morningflame raced forward, pushing Birchclaw away. Pain flooded her, and she heard a agonizing snap, and she fell. Her gasped for air, and her eyes flickered, and then she stilled. Blood from a wound to her neck stained the ground and her fur, turning dark red.

~

(Present)

Spottedsplash hissed, kicking her hind legs wildly."She willingly did it herself! She did it for the good of her Clanmate. It's not my fault."She growled.

~

Longstripe sunk to the ground next to Thunderstrike, his eyes wide as he stared at the dead SheCat. He betrayed one emotion, and one emotion only. Just pure grief.

~

Firefrost hissed, racing to her daughter's side."No! Morningflame!"She sobbed, pushing her paws over the wound. But it was no use, the blood poured out with no life force. The beautiful pale golden SheCat was dead.

"Mouse-brain!" Flamefang snarled, "It was your thirst for vengeance that caused this! Your need to avenge your feelings! She wouldn't have sacrificed herself if you hadn't sought to kill a cat because he disappointed you!" he raked his claws down her muzzle and then leapt off to join Firefrost beside his daughter's body. Lovingly, he stroked Morningflame with his tail and shared tongues with her for the last time.
~
Thunderstrike rested his tail on the warrior's back, but he couldn't say anything to ease his friend's grief.

Spotted splash jumped to her paws, shaking her pelt."He broke the code of my Tribe."She growled, and stalked of. She jumped onto the leaders place, large moonstone crystals sticking from the rocks.

~

Firefrost buried her head into her daughters neck fur, sobbing."She was supposed to live. Ravenstar promised that StarClan wanted her to be leader one day."She whispered.

~

"This can't be real....this is a dream, it's just a dream....she isn't dead."Longstripe whispered, his voice shaking.

~

Spirit looked at the dead SheCat. She sat back, letting out a loud, long howl. Thunder crashed in the sky and the wind picked up. Something was happening, and it was happening now. Other wolves and foxes joined her howling, and star's speckled around them.

Frostypaw shook his head with disbelief. "She's... she's dead." he whispered, crouching on the ground. He hadn't known Morningflame well, being a new apprentice, but her sudden death shocked him. His clanmate had just died right in front of him, and there had been nothing he could've done.

Meadowpaw crept out of her den to sit at the boundaries of the camp and watch.
~
Thunderstrike murmured, "I want to believe you."

Spirit's howl encased the camp, the tree's whipping wildly in the wind. Her eyes glowed white as she stood up. Then everything stilled. It still so suddenly and so quickly, that nothing moved. The air was thick."Rise, Spirits of the past."She snarled, her eyes glowing white brightly. Stars glimmered around, and everywhere spirits of foxes, wolves, coyotes and cats appeared. Her head swung around to face Spottedsplash."Spottedstar, don't you see? Everyone of these spirits lived in harmony once. No one died, attacked each other, or fell sick, because they lived so peacefully. Your actions of not listening to Birchclaw has lead to this, and Morningflame's death. You don't deserve the name Spottedstar, yet the spirits urge me to give you that name. Her head swung around, and she looked at Rainspark."Rainstar."She started. Everyone she called 'star was going to be a future leader of DawnClan or another clan."Do you swear on the life of your Clanmates to be kind and thankful for these spirits? If you do, they will help you to kill Shadowstar, Maplestar and Tigerstar, and rid the forest.of its evil roots."

Lilypaw shook her head like refusing to believe what had happened would change things.

"W-what happens when Shadowstar has been killed? What happens to Ravenstar?" Rainspark asked nervously.

"W-what happens when Shadowstar has been killed? What happens to Ravenstar?" Rainspark asked nervously.
Spirit lowered her head, and stayed silent."It takes great power to seperate two souls, Rainstar."She whispered."Only Ravenstar herself would know how to do that."She lifted her head, and touched her muzzle to Rainspark's head."You have to dream about her, dream, Rainsstar, and she will come to you."
