So.. My "girls" Are spending their first night out in their coop. I am a little nervous. We put hog panel under the coop with hardware cloth under that and I made sure to close and lock the main door and I went ahead and shut the nesting area since they are in there. Any tips or advice? I plan on adding to their coop to enclose it better and give them more space.

Their first night out went great, they are all alive and seem happy so I'll take that as a win .

Side note, if anyone has tips on how to get older dogs to leave them alone I'd love to hear. My cattle dogs seem very interested but the chickens are still so young I don't want to chance them with each other.
